About this Recipe

Ah, hummus! Such a healthy and versatile snack. I don’t know how I would live without it, honestly. I eat it on my toast almost every morning. But I also love to enjoy it as a snack, with warm crispy and garlicky pita bread.

The result of this recipe is perfect. It’s fluffy, creamy, and flavorful. The everything bagel mix is very easy to make and really adds a special touch to it.

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1
    • Set the oven to 400 degrees. Mix all the ingredients for the pita.

    Step 2
    • Brush the pita bread with the mixture and cut them into 8 triangles. Bake them for about 7 minutes, until brown and crispy.

    Step 3
    • Meanwhile, make the hummus. Start by blending the chickpeas for about 30 seconds.

    Step 4
    • Add in all the other ingredients for the hummus and blend until super smooth.

    Step 5
    • Make the Everything Bagel mix by putting all the ingredients in a small bowl.

    Step 6
    • Transfer the hummus to a large bowl, drizzle olive oil on it and sprinkle the Everything Bagel mix on top. Garnish with chili flakes, paprika, or any other herbs of your choice if wanted.

    * Pro tip: To improve the texture of your hummus, you can remove the skin from the chickpeas. It takes a while, but in my opinion, you get a nicer result.
