Photography Gear
I only recommend gear that I own and love. While there are many other great options out there, I can only vouch for what works best for me. For instance, you won’t see me recommending a tripod because I haven’t found one that suits my preferences yet!
Lighting gear
I shoot with both natural and artificial light, but I must admit, I’ve fallen head over heels for the flexibility and possibilities that artificial light offers!

The fun part! Here are some of the brands I absolutely adore for backdrops and props.
CAMERA AND LENSES
Canon EOS R6 or R6 Mark II
If you don’t have the budget for the EOS R5 yet, the R6 or R6 mark II are great, both for pictures and videos. I’ve been owning a R6 for a while now, and I love it.
Canon 50mm f/1.8 Lens
This lens is perfect for starters because it’s budget-friendly and lets you play around with that cool blurry background effect. Plus, if you’re using a crop-sensor camera, it acts more like an 85mm, which is pretty neat too!
Canon 100 mm f/2.8 Macro Lens
I absolutely love this one. Couldn’t live without it. Great for close-up, but also super versatile.
Canon 24-70 mm f/2.8 Lens
Just a heads-up, I don’t have this one in my collection yet. However, it’s my dream lens. The versatility it offers, including its capability to capture stunning shots beyond the studio environment, makes it worth considering.
LIGHTING
Godox FV200
Artificial lighting is a wild subject! There are so many lights option. This one is what I currently use. It’s a continuous light, perfect for beginners.
5 in 1 Reflector
There are so many ways to diffuse and modify light. One of the most affordable one is to use a 5 in 1 reflector.
OTHER
Newer C-Stand
A C-Stand is incredibly useful if you want to take overhead shots. I love mine.
Poster Stand
Yes, I use a poster stand to hold my backgrounds! With 2 good clamps and a good cardboard, it works really well.
