Don’t you think that fall rhymes with crumble? I can’t imagine entering this season without baking this dish and having the entire house smell like apples and cinnamon.

This crumble texture is perfect, it tastes like heaven, and it’s 100% plant-based. Don’t wait a minute and try it too!

Ingredients

For the filling: 

  • 6-7 Apples (Granny Smith has the best reputation for crumbles but we used Paulared and it worked perfectly)
  • 1 tbsp white flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

    For the filling:

    • 1 cup rolled oats or oatmeal
    • 1 cup white flour
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powderà1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • Pinch of salt

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1
    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

    Step 2
    • Peel the apples (this is optional) and cut the apples in slices.

    Step 3
    • In a large baking dish, mix together all the ingredients for the filling.

    Step 4
    • In a separate bowl, mix the ingredients for the crumble until you start to get clumps.

    Step 5
    • Put the crumble on top of the apple mixture.

    Step 6
    • Bake for about 35 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool down for a while and serve warm.
